Brooke Hall

President

Brooke Hall received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Valdosta State University in 2004. She has over 10 years of experience as an Interior Designer/Project Manager for various companies in Atlanta, GA and Jacksonville, FL and is currently a Facility Project Manager with FL Blue. Brooke has been an active member of the IIDA North Florida Chapter for several years and has served as the Jacksonville City Center Director and President-Elect, respectively. She also volunteers with the Florida State College in Jacksonville serving on the Interior Design Advisory Council and is currently training to be a CIDQ Ambassador. Brooke recently completed her NCIDQ and is now a Registered Interior Designer in the state of Florida.

Aaron Schreiber

President Elect

Aaron Schreiber graduated from Brigham Young University in 2002 with a BFA in Interior Design. Aaron was born in Michigan and raised in Central Florida and considers himself a Floridian at heart. After interning for architects and structural engineers in college, Aaron worked in Atlanta, GA with multiple design-build companies where he designed restaurants, pharmaceutical and research clean rooms. Aaron is a Florida Registered Interior Designer and has been the Senior Interior Designer for 11 years where he specializes in commercial, ecclesiastical, contemporary, restaurant and history design. Additional experience includes building systems, lighting and clean rooms. Aaron is also a LEED AP and IIDA Professional Member.

Lisa Marston

Past President

Lisa received her Bachelors of Science degree in Interior & Environmental Design from Illinois State University. She is a state licensed Interior Designer and NCIDQ certificate holder with over 16 years of experience. Lisa started her career in commercial furniture, working with city, state and federal agencies as well as educational institutions. She then went to Gresham, Smith and Partners as a Healthcare Interior Designer, specializing in creating hospital design standards and equipment planning. Lisa currently works for Office Environments & Services as Director of Design. She is also a LEED AP.

John Perez (AKA Founding Father)

VP of Student Affairs

John Perez received his Bachelor of Design Degree in Interior Design from the College of Architecture, University of Florida in 1999. He is a state licensed Interior Designer and is Co-owner and Principal for Hota Design Studio in Jacksonville, FL. He is actively involved with the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and is part of the Alumni Association to the University of Florida. John is a NCIDQ certificate holder and volunteers with the Interior Design departments of Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia; The Art Institute and Florida State College in Jacksonville as well as the University of Florida in Gainesville. John was instrumental in the creation of the IIDA North Florida Chapter and was the founding president of the organization during its inception year. He has since served multiple terms as Chapter President and VP of Student Affairs.

Julie Hargrove

VP of City Centers

Julie Hargrove graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in Interior Design. She is a registered Interior Designer in the state of Florida and has 15 years’ experience in design. Her experience includes Facilities Management, Corporate/Commercial, Military and High-end Residential design. Currently, she is an Account Executive with The Mowhawk Group for the North Florida and South Georgia territory. Julie is a professional member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and has held the positions for the Florida and North Florida Chapter of Past President, President, VP of GRA and City Center Director. She is also a LEED AP and has served on the local US Green Building Chapter board at the committee level.

Rebecca Crosby

VP of Professional Development

Rebecca Crosby has worked as an Interior Designer and Intern Architect for several large architecture and interior design firms in both Atlanta, GA and Jacksonville, FL. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology and she is a licensed interior designer in Georgia. Her experience includes new construction as well as historic renovation for a wide range of project types including corporate office, community development, educational, hospitality, institutional, religious and high-end residential. She currently works for the Shaw Contract Group as the Jacksonville Corporate Accounts Manager/A&D Specialist. Rebecca has held various positions on the Florida and North Florida IIDA Board including the Jacksonville City Center Director and President-Elect. She has chaired and served on various committees for AIA, NAIOP and USGBC. She was also an adjunct Professor at Florida Community College of Jacksonville for several semesters.

Emi Chavez-Miller

VP of Events

Emi comes from a rich and diverse architectural and commercial construction background. She has been deeply involved in the commercial flooring industry since 2004 when she went to work for her (now) husband’s flooring dealership where she first learned the trade. She then followed in her father’s architectural footsteps and went to school for her Master of Fine Arts in Interior Design in South Florida at Miami International University. After working in interiors at a few Florida based design firms, she made the leap into flooring sales in 2014 and is not looking back. She loves the special opportunity that working for Commercial Flooring Distributors affords her – the chance to still be involved in the design and selection process while acting as a technical consultant to her clients. “I love to see a building come to life whether its new construction or renovation, small space or large scale. This is something my father taught me. Creating a livable space that is both functional and beautiful is the greatest kind of art. I feel really lucky that my work allows me to live my passion.”

Stacy Perez

Stacy Perez is a newly appointed Account Executive for Nora Systems, Inc. covering North Florida and South Georgia. With over 10 years of experience in the contract furniture industry, Stacy is well versed in the sales and marketing aspects of the commercial construction industry. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida and also holds a Florida Real Estate license. Nadia Beckford

Nadia Beckford received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Jacksonville. After serving 7 years in the United States Navy, she decided to return to college to pursue her dreams of design. She has previously worked as an Interior Designer at Pond & Co., concentrating on educational and government design. Her current professional goal is to become professionaly licensed as an Interior Designer by late 2017. Nadia also volunteers with the Jacksonville Veterans Center in her spare time.

Angela Gibson

Angela Gibson moved to Jacksonville from Nashville, Tennessee with 16 years of commercial sales experience in the construction industry including specifications, sales and project management. She is currently working for Trinity Surfaces specializing in commercial floor covering specifications & sales representative to northeast Florida. Angela has an A.A.S. in Interior Design, worked for several design firms in Tennessee and has been involved with IIDA for over 10 years serving as a board member. She has also been involved with Nashville’s IFMA, Nashville Chamber of Commerce & USGBC.

Kevin Gray

Kevin Gray completed his studies at West VA University and comes to North Florida with more than 20 years in the contract furniture business. Kevin has worked for numerous contract furniture dealerships in the Washington D.C. area, Atlanta area and North Florida area serving as owner and VP respectively. Mary Couch

VP of GRA

Mary graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from Clemson University in 2002. With over 15 years of experience, Mary has worked on both Architectural and Interior Design projects within the Commercial Design industry including large corporate projects, higher education, government institutions, healthcare, and religious projects throughout the Southeast. Her favorite type of design is large scale renovation projects, with a passion for projects in Jacksonville’s Urban Core, including 121 Financial Credit Union Corporate Office Relocation, City Hall Annex Renovation, Jessie Ball duPont Center (Haydon Burns Library) Renovation, and iVenture Solutions. As a Licensed Interior Designer and LEED AP BD&C professional with Gresham, Smith and Partners her specialty focus is on LEED projects with twelve LEED Certified projects which include Bascom Palmer Eye Institute – Naples, Duval County Unified Courthouse and UF Health North Phase II – 92 Bed Patient Pavilion, and multiple State/Federal Government and Higher Education buildings.

Madelen Salter

Industry Advisor/Director of Design Connects

Madelen received her Bachelors of Science in Human Sciences/ Interior Design from Auburn University. She accepted a position with Saxelbye Architects following her internship in 2001.  Madelen served on the IIDA Board as VP of Student Affairs and was responsible for Student Day and one of a few founding leaders of Cocktail Couture.   Madelen spent years following in Real Estate and Design and almost a decade in the Healthcare and Diagnostic Sales industry. Currently, Madelen serves as the Market Director for CBI, a Knoll dealer, here in Jacksonville and assisted with the opening in Fall 2016.  She enjoys spending time with her family, leading various non-profit organizations in philanthropic activities and serving as a Trustee of the Chamber of Commerce.

Kaitlin Wishall

City Center Director, Jacksonville

Kaitlin Wishall received her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and Business Administration from Meredith College. Upon graduating, she began working as an Interior Designer with a commercial interior design dealership in Greenville,North Carolina specializing in Religious Institutions, K-12 and Higher Education. She then went on to work as a materials consultant for 3form, the leading manufacturer of award-winning, sustainable building materials and architectural hardware solutions for the Architecture + Design industry. Upon moving to Florida, she continues working as a materials consultant for 3form. Kaitlin volunteers with the International Interior Design Association and the Junior League of Jacksonville.

Laura MacFarlane

City Center Director, Tallahassee

Laura joined Barnett Fronczak Barlowe & Shuler Architects and BFB Gladwin Architects in 2003 as an intern, and is the firm’s licensed interior designer. Her current responsibilities include drafting and producing design and construction documents, producing presentation renderings, selecting interior finishes, and providing project administration coordination. She also heads BFBA’s marketing department. Laura is a LEED AP, and a member of the Tallahassee Chapter of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), and the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). Laura received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Notre Dame in 2001, and her Master of Science in Interior Design from Florida State University in 2005. Laura enjoys spending time with her two boys, Sammy and Indiana, Trader Joes, talking with Erin about politics, and a bottle of wine in the evenings (but no food because she doesn’t want to get fat).
